Which video grabber do you recommend?

A DV camera connected to a Firewire port (IEEE-1394) offers a very good image quality.
A webcam connected to an USB port is quite cheap.
IMPORTANT WARNING FOR PC USERS: if you plan to use an ADC card, please check if it is compatible with Toki LineTest. You can test it with the unregistered version available on the download page. Some Pinnacle and Blackmagic cards has been successfully tested with Toki LineTest.

Can I use an Apple iSight with Toki LineTest?

Toki LineTest should work with the iSight, but some customers have reported that the iSight freezes from time to time. All iSight are not affected by this problem. Apple is aware of this issue and is working on it, but haven't announced any deadline.

Can I use a Miro DC30 video digitizer card on my PC with Toki LineTest?

Toki LineTest can manage any video digitizer that is DirectX, WDM or VFW compliant. Some video digitizers, like Miro DC10/DC30, wasn't shipped with such driver. You should check on the supplier web site if a newer driver is available.

Toki Shot & Toki TC

Can Toki Shot and Toki TC play DivX, AVI or WMV files?

Toki Shot and Toki TC use QuickTime to play the files.
To play a specific file format, for exemple DivX, you should have the right codec.
The following web sites provide some QuickTime codecs:

I have purchased a license but haven't received my activation code yet

Orders are normally processed within 24 hours on worksdays.
The activation code is sent by email, but some customers don't receive it due to a spam filter.

Toki LineTest Lite is available for free. This is the unregistered version which has 2 limitations : the xsheet can't exceed 60 frames and drawings are in low resolution only. All other features are available. This version is workable for schools, students, amateurs ...
